A Harvest of Stories, the fifth annual storytelling event produced by the Foothills Storytelling Guild and hosted by the Arts Council of Placer County, will be held on November 18 in the Arts Building at 808 Lincoln Way, Auburn. Children and their families will enjoy the lively children's program at 11:00. The stories will include Troll Rap (a fun version of the three Billy Goats Gruff) as well as a Miner's Melodrama and other fun tales. Adults and older children will be treated to a wide range of traditional folktales, personal stories, and myths at the 7:00 evening program. There is a suggested donation of $3 per family for the children's program, and $3 per person for the evening program. The Foothills Storytelling Guild was founded several years ago and meets monthly in Auburn for members and guests to swap stories and practice the craft of storytelling. All are welcome to come listen or tell. For more information, call Linda Kennedy at 530-478-1604 or check the website at www.foothillstorytelling.com.
